We would like to invite expressions of interest to become either Chair or Deputy Chair for the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) in Research Steering Group. This is an important partnership group within The Royal Marsden, Biomedical Research Centre, Institute of Cancer Researchand Clinical Research Facility, bringing together researchers and patient and carers representatives supporting these organisations and all research areas. We will need active and proactive individuals with:
A good overview of the research landscape at the RM/ICR, i.e. BRC, ICR, CRFand/or individual research themes/areas
An active role in research, being involved with at least one research theme/area at the RM/ICR
Being active with at least one research project, ideally as a co-applicant at the RM/ICR
Able to work collaboratively with the RM/ICR Head of Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement, and all members of the group.
Good chairing, organisational and patient leadership skills.
