What roles are there in the project for me?

    As a team we welcome the skills that individuals bring to this improvement project. Examples of the sort of contribution patients and the public who worked with us before include;

    • Taking part in and helping run workshops and meetings
    • Presenting the results of our work
    • Helping us write patient information
    • Helping us create artwork and design posters

    What skills are you looking for?

    Everyone has skills or experiences to bring. This may be from work, home life or experiences of care.  We would like to work with someone who is a good communicator and can think creatively.

    What equipment do I need to have to be involved?

    We anticipate that almost all participation will be virtual, for safety reasons. You will need a reliable internet connection and a device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone to take part in discussions. An email address would also be useful.

    How long will I need to be involved?

    We recognise that people have different time and energy available to offer, so this project is flexible to enable people to give their time at the point that works best for them.

    We anticipate that there would be at least 4 meetings for each improvement opportunity, each approximately 1-2 hrs in duration.  We will try to contain as much of the work required to that meeting time.

    There may be a small amount of work involved between meetings to keep the project flowing. You can take part in just one session or stay with us to the projects’ Celebration Event in June 2021.

    Will I get paid for my time?

    Unfortunately, we don’t have funds to pay those who take part. We believe that it is important to recognise and value participants’ involvement in our projects and so we are seeking financial support. If funding becomes available, we will update those taking part with the details
