We are inviting patients and carers to take part in two workshops about what matters most to people receiving radiotherapy for soft tissue sarcoma of the arm or leg. These will be small groups designed to encourage open discussion.

We would like to hear about your experience of treatment and recovery, including any side-effects, difficulties with movement or everyday activities, and the wider impact of treatment on your life. We will also discuss whether the usual ways healthcare teams find out how patients are doing, such as talking to them and observing them during clinic visits, capture the things that matter most to patients.

The workshops will explore the support available before, during and after treatment, including physiotherapy, rehabilitation and other services. Your views will help us understand what should be measured in future research and how care and support for patients with soft tissue sarcoma could be improved.

The workshops will take place on:

  • Tuesday 29th of September 10am to 12pm (online)
  • Tuesday 10th of November 10am to 2pm (in-person) for Royal Marsden patients only

Please get in touch with Dr Rita Simoes, [email protected] if you would like to take part. Rewards will be provided.
