One highlight of the latest Autumn / Winter issue (no 9) is:
Patient and Carer Advisory Group wins a National Quality Improvement Award
The Royal Marsden’s Patient and Carer Advisory Group (PCAG) has won a National Clinical Audit Heroes 2024 Patient and Public Involvement Highly Commended Award from the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP). PCAG was recognised for their patient/carer led project to increase awareness, understanding and visibility of The Royal Marsden’s therapy and supportive care services amongst patients, carers and staff. These services are vital for many patients to help them manage the impact and side-effects of their cancer diagnosis and treatment, and crucially improve their wellbeing and quality of life during and after treatment.
