Artificial intelligence (AI) is now frequently used in daily life. AI is also increasingly being used in healthcare and has the potential to speed up the delivery of many aspects of patient care.

As part of a project called FIREDANSE, we are conducting a public survey to find out about people’s experience of AI, their current views about it and their trust in its use, particularly in healthcare.

FIREDANSE is a joint project between the Institute of Cancer Research, The Royal Marsden Hospital and Imperial College, funded by the UK's Medical Research Council, as part of a larger programme called DARE UK. In it, we aim to develop technologies that will allow future researchers to train artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to answer more complex medical questions than is currently possible and make faster and better diagnoses.

To help inform our work, we would love to hear from you and what you think about using AI in patient care.

Complete the survey: How much do you trust the way Artificial Intelligence is being used in healthcare?’

There are also opportunities to be involved in the further development of the FIREDANSE project, see the end of the survey.

If you would like more information about this survey, need help or have any questions about how to complete it, please contact the FIREDANSE study co-lead Dr Simon Doran by email at [email protected].

Thank you very much in advance for your time and your valuable contribution to our project.
