How can we provide support for physical activity and healthy diet choices when diagnosed with breast cancer?

This survey is part of a pre-doctoral fellowship project exploring how people with breast cancer may be supported digitally to be more physically active and have a healthy diet. It is recommended by the World Cancer Research Fund that people diagnosed with cancer try to maintain or increase their levels of physical activity, including activities for strengthening muscles, and eat a healthy diet.

This survey uses the term “Digital Support” to cover a variety of services where you do not see a health care professional face to face. This includes services such as text messaging, video calls with healthcare professionals, videos of information, resources on websites and apps.

The purpose of this survey is to gain patient and public feedback on:

  • the timing of delivery of information about physical activity and diet
  • the way in which this is given – digital and non-digital
  • whether people are interested in digital support for diet and physical activity

This survey is for people who have previously been treated or are currently on treatment for breast cancer.
